Остались целые собрания певческих книг знаменной безлинейной нотации, азбуки, пособия, требующие изучения и кропотливого труда по расшифровке. Открытие "Музыкальной Атлантиды", начавшееся лишь во 2-й половине XIX в., все еще продолжается.
